Gassing-Up / Cool-Down (GUCD) is a specialized service to displace the inert gas from the LNG vessel’s storage tanks and cool down of storage tanks from ambient to cryogenic temperature of -160oC. This process is required for the newly built LNG carriers or after dry-docking of LNG carriers or when the LNG carriers are completely emptied at their previous discharge ports.
Operators of such LNG carriers will find it convenient and cost-effective to undergo vessel Gassing-up / Cool-down at Kochi LNG Terminal through PEL.
